Background

As a UX designer working on freelance projects, I noticed a recurring need among new businesses: they often struggled to establish an online presence with websites and branding that truly reflected their vision. Recognising this gap, I founded PXL Design Agency to offer affordable, all-in-one packages tailored to startups and small businesses.

With a focus on creating meaningful experiences, I combined my UX expertise with cutting-edge tools like Framer to deliver stunning, functional websites and branding solutions that meet diverse business needs. Beyond websites, PXL expanded to include CRMs, booking platforms, and e-commerce systems, helping businesses grow and thrive.

Challenge

Finding projects was manageable, but it lacked structure and scalability. Many clients required more than I could deliver on limited budgets. Clients often sought high-quality results but didn’t have the financial means for fully custom solutions. Each business required a design that reflected its unique style and goals. Some websites needed to include features like booking systems, e-commerce, and CRMs, while maintaining an intuitive user experience.

Solution

To address these challenges, I created PXL Design Agency, focusing on delivering professional and affordable solutions for startups and small businesses. The PXL Design website was crafted with user experience at its core. The landing page showcased similar projects I’ve worked on, helping potential clients understand the quality of work and set expectations. A guided flow led users to select a suitable plan or explore pre-designed templates, reducing back-and-forth inquiries and streamlining the client shortlisting process. The website itself embodied excellent UX design, using eye-tracking principles to direct attention to key actions, such as selecting a plan or viewing case studies. Clear navigation, engaging visuals, and concise messaging ensured potential clients had a seamless experience.

To date PXL has successfully built over 30 websites for diverse range of clients including:

• Booking Platform for Beauty Salons: CRM with Stripe-enabled deposits, generating £10K+ in the first week of launch.

• E-Commerce Solutions: Custom Shopify stores with categorised product menus and branded visuals.

• Amazon Selling Platform: Flat design and engaging animations for a seamless user journey.
